Bring On The Power
There’s a Silverado 1500 for any job with a range of engines like a turbocharged four-cylinder, a Duramax diesel 3.0-liter inline-six, and two V-8s. Out of the two eight-cylinder engines, the 420 horsepower 6.2-liter is the quickest, hitting 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Now boasting 420 pounds of torque is the turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder, making its towing capabilities even better. The half-ton Silverado is a serious hauler with a max towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. Chevrolet’s top tow rating is accessible with both the 6.2-liter V-8 and the diesel engine. The 5.3-liter version can still handle as much as 11,500 pounds, while the turbocharged four-cylinder model can tow up to 9,500 pounds.
Better Than Ever Interior
The 2022 Silverado can be configured in many ways, from the Work Truck model to the deck-out High Country model. Starting with the LT trim, the cabin gets an updated look with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an even bigger center touchscreen. The High Country interior looks even better with leather upholstery and wood trim. There is also an enormous rear seat and lots of headroom in the crew cab. The 1500 also received bucket seats, and an available electronic shifter mounted on the center console, as part of the refresh.
Driver Assist Features
Drive hands-free across more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. with Super Cruise available on the High Country. Super Cruise is also functional with towing, giving you added comfort for those long hauls. Avoid front-end collisions with Forward Collision Alert, or receive a tailgating alert if you are following too close to the vehicle ahead. Front Pedestrian Braking can help you avoid a front end collision with a pedestrian by detecting a pedestrian directly in front of you and automatically applying the brakes. Change lanes with confidence with Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
Coupling off-road prowess with V-8 power is the new ZR2 variant. It is placed above the Trail Boss model in the lineup and is complete with DSSV shocks. The 420 horsepower ZR2 receives multiple exterior enhancements like special 33-inch off-road MT tires, a high-approach steel front bumper, and a unique skid plate package. The ZR2 is also equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 and has 460 lb-ft of torque, with a 10-speed automatic transmission with an Electronic Transmission Range Selector.
