The Premier comes equipped with a larger 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 250 horsepower and 260 lb.- ft. of torque and uses a nine-speed automatic transmission. The estimated fuel economy for the 1.5-liter is 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, while the 2.0-liter gets 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
Elevated Interior
The 2022 Chevrolet Malibu seats up to five passengers comfortably, with driver and front passenger seats standard with 6-way manual adjusters. The Malibu is spacious with 41.5-inches of front legroom and 38-inches of second-row legroom with 15.7 cubic feet of trunk cargo capacity.
